John C. Mock
John C. Mock was born in Miami, Florida, and graduated from Southwest
Miami High School. He then went on to complete 3 years in the US Army 101st
Airborne Division.
For 13 years, John worked in the fire protection field. At Pyrotronics,
Inc. in Atlanta GA, he went from fire extinguisher service to fire protection
engineer and Halon Products Coodinator for Pyrotronics. John designed fire
systems for computer rooms and high dollar density areas in the Southeast US.
He also designed the supervised fire suppression system in Mt. Vernon (George

Pyrotronics' distributors, he found that he enjoyed the process.
John then left Pyrotronics and moved to Orlando, Florida in October 1979
and started working in business brokerage in January 1980. After having his
own business brokerage firm and affiliating himself with several other firms,
he began working in partnership with Margot Nelson in 1996.
John's outstanding ability to structure transactions creates a win-win
situation for buyer and seller. By researching every aspect of the aquisition
and financing arrangements, he provides creative solutions for his customers.
John's in-depth knowledge of accounting, legal implications, negotiating steps
and procedures, along with his tenacity allow him to follow every detail of
the transaction to a satisfactory conclusion.
With his 27 years in the industry, he has established a solid reputation
for working with buyers and sellers of select businesses, specializing in
businesses with a sale price of over one million dollars.
